Can someone with a karaoke background make the transition towards professional singing ? Yes if she has Sandrine Uwase's voice. Althoung she likes R&B, Zouk and Hip-Hop , she often turns towards french lyrical when it comes to singing.
In fact when she was first approached as a psossible performer on AMAZINA she declined the offer as she was only offerd up tempos. It was only when she was proposed to sing on BIPA ( Beep Me ) that she accepted the offer. But she insisted on performing it her way. That is how she surprised vocal coaches Pierre Butera and Jean-Luc Nsengiyumva.
"This project and the BIPA song was just the push I needed to start writing my own songs." says Sandrine. With the help of her musician brother she plans on delivering a fresh new voice and music for our connaisseurs hears.
