Words on ... FA-4

FA-4 is Daddy, Riminel, Cleef and Kardinal Chris. Representing the 9200 (Nine-two hundred) the hip-hop quatuor has been in the game for four years now. Alongside dope rising producer Ruthless they created a hip-hop style that is a mix of both hardcore rap and laid back to fun tracks. Each member of the group has his own influences which combined lead to a rich flavoured mix. In fact, FA-4 can rap on anything: hardcore beats, slow jams, zouk, techno, afro beats and even hard rock if their offered to. "There always is a way to put your weight on it" like to say Daddy.

The group released their underground album 9200 testes pas last year with song both in English and French. The album was a statement on their lifes, where there where comming from and where they where at. The track ragga dancehall tented Ce soir (tonight) was an instant club hit and Ecoutes bien (listen carefully) break the image some would like to give them of a soft party only group.

Performing on AMAZINA was yet another challenge for FA-4. "We always knew we could rhyme in kinyarwanda but we never even consider doing it seriously" recall Riminel. "But when we heard the beats we decided this couldn't happend without us being on it" added Cleef.

And so they introduces us to their bling-bling life with SISTEMU (system), appears as guests on the club DJ flavoured MURYOHERWE (enjoy you meal) and join forces with annie on the R&B track BABY.

What's the future hold for FA-4 ? Yet another album. "Our producer Ruthless has been working around the clock to deliver a large amount of beat for us to flow onto. We just have to sit down at some point this year and start writting new material on them." concluded Kardinal Chris.
